The Diamantina Institute for Cancer, Immunology and Metabolic Medicine is a newly created institute of the University of Queensland. The Institute has been created by the amalgamation of the Centre for Immunology and Cancer Research (CICR) and the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology Research (CDER). The institute is focused on Translational Research - which is about producing better outcomes for patient treatments. It is comprised of nearly 200 researchers and students, and is based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital teaching campus. The research activities of the eleven Research Teams are divided into three major Programs – Cancer Cell Biology, Immunology and Metabolic Medicine. |
